Nor-Shipping 2019 will feature three special ‘@’ programmes, designed to build understanding, opportunities and collaborations between specific regional business hotspots and ambitious maritime and ocean industry players. Brazil@Nor-Shipping, Africa@Nor-Shipping and Asia@Nor-Shipping will all take place at Your Arena for Ocean Solution’s main exhibition halls on Wednesday 5th June.
With a focus on realizing the unique potential of Africa’s developing Blue Economy, while unlocking opportunity for both local and international businesses, the Africa@Nor-Shipping programme offers insights, networking and the chance to meet prospective regional partners.
A special Nor-Shipping Africa conference will address issues ranging from politics, to regulations and sustainable development, while the Africa pavilion offers face-to-face meeting opportunities. Other programme highlights include an ‘Africa Evening Reception’, showcasing the continent’s diverse culture and warm hospitality.
As Brazil undergoes social and political change, the business landscape evolves and new opportunities and challenges arise. The centrepiece of Brazil@Nor-Shipping is a seminar organized by the Norwegian Shipowners Association to address new Brazilian perspectives. This event will highlight potential within the maritime and offshore industry sectors, focusing on the importance of new technology and the growing demand for ‘greener’ operations and sustainable growth and job creation.
Julian Bray, Editor in Chief of Tradewinds, chairs a conference examining how the regional industry is evolving to utilize technology in bids to optimize efficiency and operational performance within maritime. This high-level event will feature keynote speakers and panel debates, with an array of prestigious participants including Daniel Bjarmann-Simonsen, State Secretary, Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, Dr Lam Pin Min, Singapore Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Health, and Ms Quah Ley Hoon, Chief Executive, Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
All of the events at the Lillestrøm exhibition halls are free to delegates.
