Will I get my money back if there’s a cancellation?

What will the next Nor-Shipping look like? Will I get my money back if there’s a cancellation? What routines are in place to promote optimal health and safety? The Nor-Shipping team is committed to putting our customers’ welfare first.

It can be difficult to plan in an unpredictable situation.

COVID-19 has changed everything in 2020 – the way we do business, the way we communicate, and the way we live – disrupting events and impacting upon industry the world over. Here at Nor-Shipping we’d like to take this chance to reassure you that we are doing everything in our power to protect you and your interests in this ‘new normal’ environment. We’re fully focused on delivering an exciting, lively and busy Nor-Shipping 2021 in June, building on 2019’s huge success, but we’re also putting safety nets and routines in place if those plans have to change.

Safeguarding your interests

Firstly, we’d like to reassure exhibitors that if we are forced to cancel, you will get ALL registration and stand fees back. There’s no hiding behind force majeure clauses, or similar, just a simple money back promise. That way there’s zero risk when booking Nor-Shipping 2021, just peace of mind and something to look forward to.

Secondly, we have the advantage that our parent company, Norway Trade Fairs, runs a vast array of different, large scale events at their exhibition halls. This means professional routines and safety infrastructure will be firmly tried and tested (a new set of guidelines for the venue is available here) prior to next year. These will evolve in line with local government and international rules and regulations.

In short, both your financial and personal well-being will be protected – whatever the outcome.

Adapting to deliver

If we do deem it necessary to cancel or scale down Your Arena for Ocean Solutions, there is potential for much of the activity to migrate online.

For example, knowledge sharing events, such as the Ocean Leadership Conference and the Blue Talks, could be conducted at our new, state-of-the-art studios in Lillestrøm. This facility, called NOVA Studios, is world-class and has the capacity to welcome participants, and an audience, for high quality events that could be live-streamed around the world. This would enable the cross fertilisation of ideas and support the industry, while we’d also consider further digital solutions to meet your individual needs.

Focused on success

The industry is looking to Nor-Shipping 2021 as the natural platform to gather, re-energise and focus on achieving future ambitions. Excitement is already building and the positivity around the theme of taking #ACTION for sustainable ocean success is palpable.

We are confident that Nor-Shipping 2021 will take place as planned, but also pragmatic enough to accept that if it doesn’t we will adapt to deliver on our mission of supporting you and your business.

And, rest assured, the best way we can do that is to protect you and your financial interests – that is our number one commitment.

We look forward to seeing you in Lillestrøm and Oslo from 1-4 June 2021. Your Arena for Ocean Solutions awaits.
