The executives will be joined by selected stakeholders, including politicians, at the CEO Forum meeting ‘accelerating the transition to zero emission solutions’ on 11 January 2022, 12.00-14.00.
Nor-Shipping provides an ideal arena for business visionaries to congregate. With the ocean fundamental to the future demands of society and industry – allied to the fact that resources must be accessed responsibly – exhibitors and participants are firmly focused on enabling the strategies, innovations and partnerships to unlock sustainable success.
The CEO Forum is a collaboration between Nor-Shipping and Skift, the leading Norwegian business climate network.
“A truly sustainable economy has a potential for endless value,” says Bjørn K. Haugland, CEO Skift Business Climate leaders. “By spearheading net zero-solutions, keeping all the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals in mind, we create the leading examples the world needs in order to fight climate change.
“The business case for de-carbonization represents an enormous opportunity for the business sector in general and for the maritime sector in particular. Done right, we will build a more robust and competitive business-sector, with better and more purposeful jobs for all.”
The Nor-Shipping CEO Forum will discuss how to piece together Norway’s low carbon economy puzzle, positioning it at the vanguard of the international community. Each of the leaders has already committed to ambitious environmental targets for their individual companies, with this initiative looking at how they can achieve those objectives and leverage one another’s strengths. In doing so they aim to create jobs, build skills and nurture innovative clusters – on land and serving the seas. The creation of a low carbon economy is, they believe, “one of the greatest business opportunities of our time.”
The CEO Forum is organised by Skift Business Climate Leaders. For more details please contact Bjørn K. Haugland: [email protected]
